Alta Badia is located in the South-East of South-Tyrol and surrounded by Dolomite passes:
- The Gardena pass (Gröndnerjoch), connecting the Badia Valley (Colfosco) with the Gardena Valley (Grödnertal) (Wolkenstein-Selva/ Plan de Gralba);
- The Falzarego pass connecting the Valparola pass (Badia Valley) and Cortina d`Ampezzo;
- The Campolongo pass connecting Arabba and the Badia Valley (Corvara);
- The Valparola pass connecting San Cassiano and the Falzarego pass (Cortina d`Ampezzo).
The village Stern/La Villa is in the middle of the Badia Valley only a few (car) minutes away from San Cassiano/St. Kassian, Corvara /Kurfar and Colfosco /Kolfuschg.
You also reach Alta Badia through the villages of Wengen/La Val and Pedratsches/Pedraces (via Bruneck/Brunico).
